NEW Kat Von D Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick in Ludwig REVIEW

Welcome back, Jeaniez, and happy Martin Luther King Jr. day! I hope everyone reflects on how far mankind has come, and how far mankind has to go in the hopes to have a utopia where people see each other as just that, PEOPLE.

For today I have a mini-review on Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss Creme Lipstick in Ludwig! This baby was indeed GIFTED to me, however, all thoughts expressed in this blog post are my own. Anyhow, the lipstick line is a revamp of the classic “Studded Kiss Lipstick MATTE” lipstick line! Each color with included cult classics such as Ludwig, Lolita, and so forth have been turned into creamy dreams that range from over 40 shades to 3 finishes (satin-matte, glimmer and metallic), and at only the cost of $19.00 per lipstick.

First, my impressions of the packaging were amazing! The studded kiss packaging is sturdy, trendy, and VERY featherlight in weight, which I prefer since it’s travel-friendly. Once the lipstick is twisted up, one shall see a KVD logo engraved into the bullet, along with a beautifully cut lipstick tip! I found that upon arrival this lipstick did have a few “wet” drops on it, but I assume that this is due to the satin-matte texture, which makes it more susceptible to temperature changes. For example, a cream lipstick would melt QUICKER than a fully matte lipstick on a hot Summer day!

Moving along, I let the lipstick sit for a day at room temperature, which allowed the stick to solidify back up, and evaporated up any sweat drops! Upon applying Ludwig, I noticed there is an initial tug, which makes sense since the formula is toted to be SATIN-Matte, but then when one uses the lippie after that one hurdle, the formula softens and glides on quite beautifully. It almost felt cushiony, which I was quite fascinated by! Ludwig is jampacked with pigment from the first swipe, and once applied lasted me a good 5 hours, with talking, and constant giggles. The only wear I noticed was a SLIGHT fade, but it was ever so slight! The color really stuck on, until I removed it later in the day. As a reference point, Ludwig is considered a “SATIN-MATTE NUDE FAWN”, however in the simplest of terms, it is a beautiful nude pink that is quite wearable. The online descriptions and swatches are very true to what you receive (that’s important to me). I cannot wait to try other shades! Will you loves be trying out this vegan & cruelty-free lipstick line?
